Here at Cuddledry, we are always keen to do whatever we can to support new businesses, especially when it's parents, looking to turn dreams into reality. We know more than most that it's tough, but it can be done!
Recent government cuts are creating a pool of redundant workers whose minds are turning to starting their own enterprise. Lots of us have ideas for businesses or products, (some crazier than others!), but now many of us are being pushed into doing something about it. But in such uncertain economic times, how can you make sure these ideas turn into successful businesses and where can you go for support?
We recently conducted a survey of over 150 people who were either self-employed or would like to be, and discovered that having someone to talk to who already had experience of running their own business would be the most valuable source of support. So, here we are! This month, we are working with Global Entrepreneurship Week (15 – 21 November) to show how you don’t have to go it alone, AND you don’t have to remortgage your house either!
Throughout the week, we will be running a week long ‘open clinic’ for anyone looking for help and inspiration to start a new business. To take part, all you have to do is visit our brand new Cuddledry business forum, and post your questions. Helen and Polly will be on hand throughout the week of 15 November to offer expert advice, and we hope too that it will be a useful place for you to share information and expertise with other budding entrepreneurs!
You do need to register first (click 'register' on the menu bar under the main header) but it is very quick and only asks for an email address.
Do check out the forum, and remember to visit us during Global Entrepreneurship Week with your questions or comments for the Cuddledry team.
